Vocabulary we need
Meme- an idea,behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture
- The meme was spreading like a virus of sickness.
Virus-its a infection that can affect all types of life form
-The worker found a virus in the computer he had to fix it before it got bigger.
Viral- an image,video, advertisement,etc, that is circulated rapidly on the internet
-The video went viral like a new virus.
Blog- a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style
- In Dr. Preston's class we do our work on a blog he helped us create.
Wiki- a website that allows collaborative editing of its content and structure by its users
-The following categories exist in the wiki.
URL-the address of a web page
-We couldn't find the URL of the website.
Website-a set of related web pages located under a single domain name, typically produced by a single person or organization
-The website was not easy to find so we could finish our work in class.
WWW- world wide web
-WWW made it easy for us to find websites.
Internet-a global computer network providing a variety of information and communication facilities
-The internet helps us find resources we need.
2.0-used to denote a superior or more advanced version of an original concept,product,service,etc...
-A 2.0 average allows students to enter college.
Open source-denoting software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified
- Orphanages are houses for open source children.
Technology- the applicationof scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry
- Most of the objects we use are made or use technology.
