I think that the author wrote The Pedestrian because people are less outside they aren't like in the old days were most of the neighborhood  was outside chatting kids running around having fun. When we read the story it kind of seemed that he was trying to show us what its like when you go for a walk in this generation. Everything having to do with the plot is mostly lonely barley see anyone walking just stuck in their houses. I feel like the characters are just so used to not seeing people outside that when they see someone walking around in the night they tend to think something is wrong. This is why i think the author wrote The pedestrian, I really actually like this story. 

 It was a warm evening in the month of October, I was sitting on my porch watching my younger siblings play around. I was just spacing out the whole time i did not notice my aunt had came, she was on the other side of the street she called me over i went kind of speed walking towards her car. My younger siblings followed behind me rushing to greet my aunt. I kissed her on the cheek so did my younger siblings our way of greeting our aunt. She told me there are some celery in the trunk she told me to go ahead and grab a couple for your mother. I said ok and headed for the back of her trunk she opened it from the inside of the car my little brother and sister grabbed one each. I closed the trunk and kissed my aunt goodbye she told us take care and left. I crossed the street towards my house the younger ones following along as always. You have inspired me so much in life, you told me people come and go and only the true ones stay. You are someone who stayed with me threw good and bad and I really appreciate it. You know how my life was back then and you were there to guide me when I was giving up on myself, you helped me fight threw it. One day I hope to return the favor.
